Seoul Gangnam-gu Kicks Off 2021 Medical Tourism Brand Festa

Gangnam-gu (the Mayor of Gangnam-gu, Jeong sungun) will be organising the ‘2021 Gangnam Medical Festa’ in Nonhyeon-ro and Sinsa-ro areas throughout the month of October 2021 with the theme of ‘”Gangnam connected to the world, Gangnam, a healthy medical city”.

This is an initiative to revive the demand for foreign medical tourism which has been stagnant due to COVID-19. Foreigners can receive a 10 per cent to 30 per cent discount when visiting participating medical institutions and hotels.

The local government will also undertake the ‘Medical Tourism Live Consultation’ conference for the first time this year. The medical team from Gangnam’s participating hospitals will also consult celebrities within the Commonwealth of Independent States (including Russia) on medical procedures as well as medical treatments through teleconference.

In addition, 24 medical tourism creators and foreign power influencers will also create promotional content related to this event to promote the excellence of Gangnam medical tourism to the world.

While supporting the production of a customised promotional video for the its partners, a special lecture on the topic of “Hospital Marketing Post COVID-19” will be also be held on 7 October 2021.
