CMCO Extends to 9 June, Interstate Travel Banned During Festivities
Malaysia Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin announced the extension of Controlled Movement Control Order (CMCO) to 9 June 2020 in a press conference today.
“I would like to apologies that all interstate travels are banned during the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Hari Gawai.”
“All SOPs for CMCO will continue to be in effect until 9 June 2020, a four week extension [from the fourth phase].”

Muhyiddin also mentioned that Malaysia is ranked fourth amongst 105 countries where the people are receptive of government’s efforts in combating COVID-19, according to a survey by a Singapore agency.
“I would like to thank the frontliners who have been fighting the disease restlessly.”
“While we have achieved great success, it is still not the end. There’s still more to be done.”
“Social distancing, wearing face mask and sanitation is still important until a vaccine is found.
