Nu Skin Malaysia, a leading provider of premium-quality skincare and wellness products, proudly commemorates its strong 15-year partnership with Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children with congenital heart diseases.

In a move to further the company’s global initiative to be a ‘Force for Good’ in empowering vulnerable communities, Nu Skin Malaysia established the Nu Skin Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund (SEACHF) in 2008. Since then, Nu Skin Malaysia has collected over RM 6 million which has gone toward supporting the treatment of more than 400 children in the region as of today. In 2022 alone, this partnership with IJN Foundation helped fund the surgeries for 51 children with heart disease and subsequentially transformed the lives of over 900 children in total.

Speaking at their annual board meeting today, Hendrix Wong, Vice President, Market Operations of Nu Skin Malaysia & Brunei said, “We could not be prouder of our incredibly fruitful 15-year partnership with IJN Foundation. To be able to give back to those most vulnerable in our communities by aiding children living with heart diseases in getting the treatment they need is a commitment we at Nu Skin Malaysia do not take lightly,”

“Our dedication to this cause remains strong, and with the support of our partners and sales leaders, we look forward to continuing our work with IJN Foundation to be a force for good in helping improve the lives of these children.” Hendrix emphasises.

To collect donations, Nu Skin Malaysia set up the 1% Commission Donation Program – a monthly donor initiative where over 20,000 Nu Skin Brand Representatives in Southeast Asia have pledged to donate 1% of their monthly commissions, to the SEACHF.

As a hallmark move toward this 15-year milestones, Nu Skin Malaysia announced that this year they are committed to the goal of “Saving Four Lives A Day” and to this end, has pledged a total of RM 1,125,000 to IJN Foundation in order to support the treatment and surgery cost of at least another 75 children in 2023.

“Our long-standing partnership with Nu Skin Malaysia has been a great source of stability throughout these past 15 years. As one of our strongest corporate partners, they have been instrumental in helping us further our philanthropic mission to fund corrective heart surgeries for children and families who are unable to afford them. We look forward to continuing working together to bring hope and healing to even more children in the years to come” says Toh Puan Dato’ Seri Hajjah Dr. Aishah Ong, Chairman of IJN Foundation.

A Force For Healing Hearts

As the number of children suffering from heart defects has grown in recent years, Nu Skin Southeast Asia Children’s Heart Fund (SEACHF) aspires to provide the necessary financial support to help reduce the long waiting list of heart patients in need of surgeries and treatment and to make sure that every child can get to live a normal healthy life.

SEACHF combines grants from the Nu Skin Force For Good Foundation, as well as donations from the company’s brand affiliates and employees from countries all over the region, such as Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia.
