Fun-Filled Educational Activities at Aurelius Hospital Nilai for the Local Community

Aurelius Healthcare officially launched Aurelius Hospital Nilai (AHN) on 23 September 2022 and was officiated by Deputy Health Minister 1, Dato’ Dr. Haji Noor Azmi bin Ghazali. Along with this launch, Aurelius Healthcare Nilai organized a fun-filled event on 24 and 25 September 2022 at their hospital in Nilai. There were multiple talks given by professionals ranging from talks on cancer to PCOS, a motivational talk session by an orthopaedic surgeon and Malaysia’s first astronaut Dato’ Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor. His talk included some interesting topics such as his journey to the moon and how he did things in space such as eat, pray, and all other daily activities and he motivated the youth to follow their dreams and never to give up. Additionally, he also presented his book to the audience during the quiz sessions conducted.

The event’s main aim was to provide healthcare awareness and opportunities for the local community in Nilai and its surrounding areas, focusing on healthcare needs such as eye screening, physio, health screening and orthopaedics. The event also helped to create a fun-filled environment for families as a getaway for the weekend. There was a range of exciting activities at booths ranging from Pound exercise, exercise workshop by Kevin Zahri, recruitment fair and a variety of screening sessions for overall health.

The 2-day event was filled with excitement, attended by doctors giving talks on their areas of expertise. Additionally, little kids had the opportunity to participate in a colouring contest and TinyDoc programme – a role play session with 6 stations to learn about human anatomy. Some of the lucky attendees won exciting prizes such as foldable bicycles, earpods, smart watches, hotel stays, health screening vouchers, from the lucky draw session.

Aurelius Healthcare Nilai was also focused on sharing and creating an opportunity for healthcare professionals to gain awareness about arthritis and osteoarthritis. In conjunction with World Arthritis Awareness Day, there was a special complimentary session for all healthcare professionals to attend and learn about arthritis and osteoarthritis at the hospital.

Aurelius Healthcare Nilai has always been known for its community outreach by conducting talks and programmes to support the holistic well-being of fellow Malaysians. Their very recent programme was in conjunction with Menstrual Awareness Month, and the upcoming programme focuses on Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
