NKF Celebrates 2022 Mid-Autumn Festival with Mooncake Charity Project

The Mid-Autumn Festival essentially marks a traditional harvest celebration, but it’s also the start of mooncake mania! Once again, The National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF) together with Oversea Group of Companies is going above and beyond to raise funds for NKF’s underprivileged kidney failure patients with NKF’s Annual Mooncake Charity Project.

Great for gifting or indulging in at home, Malaysians can purchase the NKF mooncakes from now until 3 September 2022 − with assurance that all funds raised will be donated directly to NKF Malaysia.

“As of today, 1,700 dialysis patients are receiving subsidised dialysis treatment across 28 NKF dialysis centres nationwide. NKF has expanded its role from being just a dialysis treatment provider, to becoming a one-stop national resource centre for all kidney-related matters. This Annual Mooncake Charity Project is part of our fundraising initiatives in a bid to provide our underprivileged kidney failure patients with the necessary care and support. The delectable NKF mooncakes are something to be shared during a family reunion or gifted to relatives and friends to express love and best wishes while supporting our fundraising initiative and ongoing mission in the process. We would truly appreciate the support and generosity of Malaysians so that NKF can continue making a difference in the lives of underprivileged kidney patients,” said Ms. Khor Xin Yun, Chief Executive Officer of NKF Malaysia.

These locally crafted mooncakes are 100% halal certified and this year, the mooncake selection comes in three available sets:

Set A: This box includes 4-pieces of baked skin mooncakes; Lotus with Single Yolk, Assorted Fruits & Nuts, Red Bean and Shanghai with Single Yolk for RM 78 per box.

Set B: This box includes 4-pieces of baked skin mooncakes; Golden Emerald, Royal Fairy with Single Yolk (Lotus Paste & Mung Bean), Golden Starlight with Single Yolk (Pandan Lotus Paste & Mung Bean) and White Lotus with Single Yolk for RM 78 per box.

Set C: This box includes 6-pieces of snowy Musang King mooncakes for RM 168 per box
